Okay I kept wanting to post a football players name in the Best Characters name thread in Gen Gaming, so I thought i'd make this thread here. Which Sports people have names that you enjoy for whatever reasons? Can be from any sport.

My Favourite football player name is Stern John. I dunno why, it just amuses me imagining a man called john looking stern playing football, but his name is STERN JOHN.

Look how Stern he is!

My favourite Cricket player names are:

Amunugama Rajapakse Rajakaruna Abeykoon Panditha Wasalamudiyanse Ralahamilage Rajitha Krishantha Bandara Amunugama, from Sri Lanka, just because it's bigger than a house, and also Chaminda Vaas, also from Sri Lanka, just because it sounds cool.

Okay your turn, aaaand go!

Edit: The Portugese Goalkeeper "Quim" just made my list

Both Coco Crisp and Milton Bradley are in the MLB, although I think Coco might be a nickname.

I've always liked "One Size" Fitz Hall.

And I think it goes without saying that Lee Trundle is the greatest.

I like Thierry Henry. The way Henry is spelt is fantastic because the English would pronounce it Henry and the French Henry and when you finally understand how it is pronounced you might say "**** is that how you say it?". Also it won't cost that much to get a replica of his name on your shirt.
I think Sebastien Grosjean (tennis) has a pretty awesome name considering the fact that it took me some time to get the right pronounciation

Colchester United used to have a player called Lee Lee, which amuses me greatly. Stern John is an absolute legend though. That must be the sternest photo ever. :D
