Alright, this is a plain luxury problem, and I should almost be ashamed of thinking it's an actual problem at all.
However, the thing is this:
I always played FF5 on my mother's computer before, but now I've moved to an own apartment, and I can't use the Internet (you know, for emulator downloading and that stuff) on the computer I've got there, nor can I afford it right now.
The only solution would be visiting mother and play there, but I want to enjoy a game to the fullest until I've completed it, and I don't want to spend days at her house just to play the game, because it feels pretty rude.

So, what should I do?
Is there any other way to enjoy this game?
And also, I'm not interested in some Japanese-talking version, because I suck at Japanese. XD

Why can't you burn the files onto a CD/DVD and copy them to your new computer?

Although there's still one more problem: I'm not sure if my computer will be able to handle SNES emulators; you know, it's from 2002, pretty old and slow and... stuff. :rolleyes2

If you have a PS2 just get Anthology. Yes, the loading times does suck, but hey, a game is a game:)

Your computer will run the emulator just fine. Most, if not all, SNES emulators will run on a Pentium I.

that's ridiculous. I was emulating ff5 on my 2001 computer back in 2001 just fine, and now in 2006 it's still fine.

yea, SNES emulators are not very system-heavy programs.

I was SNESulating (my term, feel free to use it) waaay back in 2000. Heck, some SNESulators (again my term) used to be DOS exclusive. Just goes to show you how far back the ol' emulating scene goes ;)

I also had my first emulators years ago, in the late 90s. I'm sure that your computer can handle it.

I'm sure that your computer can handle it.Actually, I realized just now that I do have an old SNES emulator with FF4 on this old computer; however, I thought that emulator felt pretty "stiff", it was more like playing on a supered up NES.
It didn't feel very "soft", if you know what I mean.

Use ZSNES - I alwas found Snes 9X to be slow and choppy hope that helps- but dude, seriously, If you have a playstation, which you SHOULD if you want to play 7-12 etc...13? - Just by the Final Fantasy Anthologies, most places it's $20 - Well worth it for FF5 and FF6 - they're here in America now, so lets buy them. I think 5 and 6 will also be for GBA, but I'm not sure about that.

...seriously.
I don't wanna wait for 4 seconds just to check the menu screen, it's ridiculous.

He's got the best solution right there if you happen to ahve a PS1 or PS2. I bought FF Anthology and that's how I played through Final Fantasy V. Great game and I hope you get to complete it and enjoy the ending. ^_^

But hey, I'll just try it once more, perhaps I will manage; after all, I did play through Final Fantasy 8. :D

Are there any loading times on that version, then?
Are there any changes?

Catridges normally load faster than discs - and DoS for GBA didn't really have "loading Times" at all so I'd assume it would be like that.

This Game Boy Advance stuff was great to hear of, although it doesn't really matter right now: my mother and her boyfriend are gonna have vacation for one week, coming back at midsummer, so they asked me if I'd like to stay here and "guard the house" or something; I just went "um, yeah, of course, alright", so now I'm able to play FF5 every single evening without feeling bad from "visiting her for the sole sake of playing", because she won't even be here! :p
