PS is broken, need an emulator URGENT!!

hi everyone, i ahve been beating on FF games and my PS since, like 1999... and my playstation broke like 2 weeks ago, and i still want to play my FF8 (again)... so im looking for a playstation emulator

i have a pretty crappy laptop, its got NeoMagic graphics card, Windows 2k, 266MHz processor, and i tried ePSXe, but it doesn't work since my computer is a piece of crap... are there any PS emulators out there that would work??

ePSXe is a good choice, but I think your problem is that your laptop is simply not powerful enough to emulate a Playstation.
I suggest that you get either a PS2, as they're pretty cheap these days, or a second hand PS1.I bought a modchipped PS1 for about $30, and it still works 2 years later.

Well, if you buy a PS2, you will be able to play a lot of other great RPG like:

-FF X, X-2 and XII.
-XenoSaga 1,2,3
-Dragon Quest VIII
-etc.
-All your PS1 RPG

Instead of crying you could try something that might fix your problems, like buying a cheap second-hand PS1. <.<

I would really vote against getting a PS3 at lauch, they're always so full of bugs. I'd recommend waiting half a year or more before getting one. That's nearly a year of waiting just to play PS1 games :p. I think you're better off with a second hand PS1.

Not to mention that if someone can't get up the money for a PS1, a PS3 is right out.
