She was a fairly interesting character, but her story didn't really bloom. It started off nice, but then the main story pretty much overshadowed her story. Sad really, since her story was pretty interesting. There's no point in wishin' and hopin' it could be different, but her story could have been presented better in the game. Her story was presented to us, but it also left out the entire middle part. She searched for Sir. Fratley, but never found him. He returned, and then disappeared. They got together in the end, but the story doesn't tell how. What do you think?

I must admit that I get pretty upset when I think about Sir. Fratley and Freya's story. He totally forgot everything about her! How sad is that? But when love is in the making, who needs a recipe?

Yeah, you're right... they've focused more in showin Zidane's, Dagger's (Garnet) and the main intrigue in the game, since I'd like too to know more about her and Vivi, since they're my favorite chars in the game... another thing, how could Fratley and Freya be together, if the last time we saw something about it showed Fratley continuing his journey?? it's pretty nonsense, and also about those "bunch" of Vivis...

freya had an interesting story that could've made ff9 better if they told us more about it. It seems as if Freya, and Steiner disappeared after Zidane escaped with Garnet from teh castle and that was in disk 2 i think. i was in fact really interested in Freya after the scene where Sir Fratley came to Cleyra and then Freya's stories jsut seemed to disappear:cry:

With that logic Square should have just dropped her character, or not made her a playable character but a regular NPC.

I agree, Freya's story isn't developed much. Then again neither is Amarant's or Jar Jar's. All three are very shallow characters. The only character with any real depth is probably Garnet. Zidane is an interesting character, but his development only occurs for a short part of the story when he learns of his heritage, he basically goes from good to bad and back to good in the space of twenty text boxes. In contrast, it's no surprise Freya got put to the wayside.

I felt short-changed on the whole Freya front. You find out a little bit when you reach the end of disc 1, then by disc 4 nothing new has happened. I agree with everything that was said here, why bother writing a character in if you're only going to make half an effort to finish their story. Im all for being allowed to draw my own conclusions, but the fact we're given the begining and the end of her story kinda makes it difficult to draw a different idea about what happens. Would have been nice to have been able to come to my own conclusions, or at least seen the full story.

IMHO Freya and Fratley were there to serve as a mirror for Zidane. Fratley had lost his memory, Zidane didn't know who he was. Zidane's reactions to the situation showed his veiws on true love that you would have never seen otherwise with his shallow flirting. It also made it more believable that he would return no matter what.

I love her. Fantastic. Wise and powerful. I'm human, so sad stories always grab my attention and I can relate in some ways (not that my male rat lover journeyed around the earth and lost his memory but...)
