Inaccessible mountain path in Besaid

Hey, I have just beat this game for the third time, and everytime I beat it, I think about this place I cant get to. The path on Besaid Island, across from the statue you pray at when you are first leaving. (There is also a save spot here)

So, the question .. What the hell is that place, and how do I get there?!

As an added note, I have played and beat FFX-2, but it was awhile ago, so I cant remember if that has anything to do with it.

that path is where you come out after waka pushes you into the water when you first get to besaid

You can't get there because it's a one-way one time entrance:]

Hahaha, I should pay more attention...

That wasnt nearly as exciting as I hoped it would be. I thought I might find something in game thats I'd never seen before.

Oh so thats why

Yeah that path is used at the start of the game when tidus follows wakka in besaid, there would be no point of going down there even if you could because all you would find would be pirahnas
