My friend told me once I'd finished the game about three times. Before that I just ran away from everything in Ipsen's castle :D

I never noticed the first time, and went through it spending ages beating up the monsters :D

But I kick ass, so the monsters all went dead.

At first, when I see Zidane and Steiner do crappy damage, I thought I was way underlevelled (I always run from battles in my first playthrough of FFIX). Eiko's Holy and Vivi's Flare save my butt!

I never knew that. I always wondered why the Treasure in there was the Weapons from early in the game. How much damage would a Dagger of done?

Heh, kinda clever of them. I never would've thought to equip them, though I did wonder why Steiner was doing such poor attacks...:D Still, it could've been less subtle. :cat:

Since Ipsen's Castle is upside down (or whatever nonsensical reason they gave us), weaker weapons do more damage. And no, this doesn't really make that much sense. It's still cool though. :cat:

Yeah, it didn't take me long to notice. Like mentioned, everything is upside down, so it's not really that hard to figure out.

I figured it out coz i had freya who still had startin weapon coz i hardly used her was dealin like 1500 hp damage while zidane done like 150 hp damage

I don't remember. I think they dropped a hint before you went in the castle. But if I went in and realised that all of a sudden my characters were doing so little damage I would think something was wrong. Then I'd probably go back outside and come back in again. Then when I went outside I might realise the castle was upside down, then maybe I'd pick up the hint that you are to junction your primitived weapons
