The Doomsday runs on 24-hour time. Since 6:00 was almost twelve hours ago for you, I believe there's nothing to worry about. Then again, it might not be GMT.

waaaaaaay past six now. No doomsday. You'd think if it was going to be late it could have least called and let us know. Sheesh- some apocalypses, what can you do? :p

Maybe they were using the Julian notation. Thus it's not the end of the world for another thirteen days or so.

Well, here in columbus, Ohio, the world is unscathed. I'm not sure about Hsu, or back home where Vyk lives... ummm... ask them. But Central Ohio hasn't seen Armageddon yet.

Polite enough for you to get dressed but not polite enough to inform me that it's going to be somewhat later than expected! I will be having serious words with this ill mannered apocalypse when it arrives!

wat. Wouldn't doomsday start at midnight, not at 6 at night. Who cares when the event takes place, but to say that the doomsday does not start till said event... is dumb. Doommoment is about to go down in CST

I beleive it has nothing to do with dates.

Unless we, the people of Earth, clean up our act, we'll be dead in no time.

How can people live by these ridiculous prophecies of "doomsday"? Besides, given the fact that these prophecies are always completely false and unfounded, wouldn't it be better to enjoy every day of our lives for its worth and ignore all doomsday prophets? Personally I beleive that humanity has millions upon millions of years of safety on this planet. The only large crisis to deal with is global warming.

To have a positive attitude, one's mind must feel that it has no limits of lifespan. I heard one story of a woman barely escaping from a fire that killed many people. She was still feeling great relief when she was run over by a car a few days later. What does this tell us? Death can happen any time. We can't escape fate. By knowing this, why not just agree to live happily for the time alloted us without fearing death?

Whenever one of these foolish people claim the end of the world, it pushes people into grave decisions. Some people have suicided in masses, thinking they'll avert a worse death, just because some idiot says it's the end of the world. And what happens the supposed day of doom? Nothing. Nothing at all.

A lot of these supposed "end of the world" days are based on human preoccupations with superstition. For example, this one based centered on corresponding numbers "6-6-6". They have no basis in fact.

Enjoy each day. Don't worry about death.

Yeah, I know that. I meant that if we keep going to war for stupid reasons we're gonna kill ourselves out, and other dumb things we do.

All people who thought the world should be ending should have been shot simultaneously at six seconds past six minutes at six in the morning (or afternoon, i'm not picky) on the six day, of the sixth month in the the year.... OH WAIT, it's 2006!

Jeeeeeese, come on, if it was gunna end dont ya think it would have happened in the year 666?! Come ON, there wasn't even a natural disaster-! Along with that, time is man made, so man is surely going to think up something to match their time scale.

Not only that, but like others have said - which time zone would he chose?! Greenwich Meridian?! Please, i know i'm taking this very literally.. but if you look at the date its actually 060606 or sixty thousand, six hundred and six... not 666.
