Post your favourite artists chart statistic. I love to see how many number #1 songs they've had. I usually go by the Billboard Charts as they are the most accurate, but you can go by what you choose. You don't have to post all of their charting singles, choose whatever you want.

And, like Grace Jones, he's had many other entries elsewhere (he was more popular abroad than he ever was here), but those are too hard to find. In fact, during the Cultural Revolution in China, John Denver was the only Western artist that Chairman Mao allowed to be played on the radio.

It should also be noted that when <i>John Denver's Greatest Hits</I> sold more than 10 million copies in 1974 (it's north of 20 million now), it was only the third album in the history of music to do so.

“In The Shadows” is released in the UK and enters the charts at number 3 It remains in the Top Ten for seven weeks, sells more than 180,000 copies and becomes one of the 20 best-selling singles in the UK that year. “Dead Letters” is also released selling more than 300,000 copies and achieving Platinum, In Finland, "DeadLetters" reaches gold before its even out on the shelves. Sold-out UK tour.

Also #1 in Finland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
