The wolf is a symbol of Cloud's guilt.

The wolf is a symbol of Cloud's guilt.

for me this doesn't make much sense. but in FF7 there was this wolf too am I wrong? I mean there's a wallpaper of it and this orange one or was it a statue?

that "wolf" with the orange one (which is RedXIII) is Seto, RedXIII's father. They are not the same.

oh I see then this one in FFVI AC must really resymbole cloud's guilt and so it faded when he forgave himself... now it makes sense.thanks^^

There's two possible meanings for the wolf. One is that the wolf is Zack's spirit guiding Cloud, and the other one (and I think Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed it too, though I'm not sure) is that the wolf is a symbol of Cloud's guilt, and probably his lone wolf way of fighting alone. So at the end of the movie, when Cloud is at that totally white space, the wolf disappears and Cloud is free of his guilt, and he reappears in the church with all his friends and the children being there.

I think it's the Fenris wolf (which appears in FFVI and FFIX as summons). It's also the name of his motorcycle.

The Wolf is Zack who was once Cloud's friend and he died. You should really play Final Fantasy VII and pay attention on Disk 2 which explains all of the stuff about Cloud and his home town and a bit about Zack.

The wolf isn't Zack. It's the representation of Cloud's feelings of failure, and it appears in places where he feels he has failed someone.

The first place we see it is Zack's grave, so the mistake is understandable. However, the other places it appears have nothing to to with Zack, nor has Zack ever been attached to wolf imagery.

Besides, the creator even said it was Cloud's guilt.

I thought it was supposed to b Aeris or Zack watching over cloud.

It's not a wolf, it's actually a FFVII version of Hello Kitty, gone wrong.

It's an animal that symbolizes Aeris or/and Zach. Aeris and Zach can't really go up to him just like that, but at the ending they did just to make a happy ending.
Meh, just an idea

I heard it was Zack. But I still dont fully understand it, I mean why does he have all of the wolf door-knocky things on his shirt....? But I think Its Zack.

I don't say "The creators say so" lightly. Nomura said it was Cloud's guilt. It is Cloud's guilt.

I think I will side with the creators on this one. Ryushikaze has a very good point. If the creators say so, than it shall be so. End of story.

I was wondering what that wolf was supposed to mean XP
the whole guilt/failure thing makes sense.
