OKay well, a while back I made a thread that had some stills of things I'd created in 3DS Max, as part of a school class I'm taking. This semester, we spent more time on animating, and so I give you these. Just follow the link, click the download thing, and click Open. :)

This is my final. We needed to have a house, door, windows, two pieces of cloth on a clothes line and a flag on a flag pole (all affected by wind), varied terrain, and a biped walking through it all.

This is just a tutorial we did about animating a biped.

Same as before, but in this we had to make him have a "distinctive walk", as well as jump smoothly from one elevation to another.

Just some messing around with ragdoll effects. :)

This is a turtle I made, as we needed an animal of some kind. For some reason, the material flows down him, rather than moving with him. Neither me, nor my instructor, nor anyone in the class could figure out why it did this.

Just something I did while bored. I didn't take too much time with it, so there's still a few bugs in it (like the blocks seperating slightly).

Enjoy. :p

Wow, these things download really reallly slowly. I pity those with dial-up.

Anyway, that must be a really awesome class you got there.

>>> Thats pretty cool, I had a 3dsmax class too but it sucked.
I did some decent modeling/textures but I didnt learned much about animation, just move some cameras and basic objects..

the ragdoll one was funny.. :D

Thanks you two. :D

Yeah, I definetly enjoyed it. Only bummer was sometimes something would happen that I wouldn't understand (see: Turtle), and as I said, my instructor could do nothing to help. But, seeing as how it can get to be a really complex program, I can see why.

Yeah, hehe, poor dude falling down the stairs. Apparently our version (3DS Max 6) uses the Havok physics engine, same as Half-Life and Oblivion (though maybe an older version), so the effects can be pretty nice sometimes.
