Well, well, well, we finally got to the Best Writer Ciddie eh? Well, by the time you're done reading this, you'll probably be wishing whoever wins this Ciddie had wrote this presentation speech. Anyway, we have six illustrious masters of the written word in the running for this Ciddie. These people have perfected their prose and always remember to check their spelling (usually). Here’s a glimpse at why they’re here.

Behold the Void
Winner of this Ciddie last year, and the only returning nominee from the Winter ’05 Ciddies (RSL doesn’t count). He's well known as a resident expert in writing fiction, with things like the Grand Tournaments (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=73541) and his various (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=71904) RP’s (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=83299&page=4). His most recent work was a look at how a fight between Sora (Kingdom Hearts) and Cloud (Final Fantasy VII) (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=85852) would play out. Behold the Void was also instrumental in the creation of the Role-Playing sub forum.

Dignified Pauper
Marick has been a busy man since the close of the last Ciddies. He has written at least thirteen poems in these short six months, all of which are leagues better than anything this poor presenter could do in a year. Another poet who's taken up residence at EoFF, nik0tine takes his work in a different then our last nominee. His poems feature a shorter length and can center on anything from funny old men (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=79332) to the composer Bach (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=82632). nik is also composes pieces of music he then posts here, such as The Organ Dreams (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=80073) and Music for the Harp (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=84810). His most recent work is a Waltz in D flat (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=85990).

Ouch!
A surprise nominee, considering he only has one piece of work to use, Ouch! is nonetheless a great writer and worthy of this Ciddie. After a year and a half of silence, he came out and showed of several Short Stories (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=84343) for the readers of EoFF. Hopefully his next piece of writing will not be so far away, as EoFF, could definitely go for more of his work.

Reine
Reine lives in his own little world, known as Final Fantasy Advanced. Luckily for us, he decided to share some of this world with us, putting his writing skills to use. Hopefully he will continue to show us more of this intriguing world.

Strider
Our final nominee is another aficionado of large spanning stories. Between his Site Staff stuff, Strider has worked on and off on his story entitled The Branded (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=75569). Hopefully we will ultimately see what happens with Darrien and Castil, but until then we can always read the second incantation (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=81159) of it, or perhaps Millennium (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=85150).

There you have it. Each of these nominees has shown themselves to be not only skilled with the written word, but also willing to accept constructive criticism and advice on improvements. The good news is that there are many new faces nominated for Best Graphic Designer this year compared to the End of Year Ciddies 2005, with Rye and ff7+ff10 gurl 100 being the only two members left from 2005. Last time Rye won by a good margin (38 points – 11 points in front of second place Xander). However, everything is still open and anyone could be the winner!
Most of the graphic design from these people have been signatures/banners/wallpapers so try to ignore the tragillion amount of times I write those words.

ff7+ff10 gurl 100. A great graphic designer that has been spotted in numerous other Artist awards as well as last years Best Graphic Designer. She came in second-last that time, but she has not been discouraged and has continued working and producing fine quality graphic designs, that include many signatures. She started off by making simple signatures with one, two or more pictures aligned together (as all of us do), but has with hard work been producing top quality signatures making use of all sorts of brushes and filters and vibrant colours.

Genius Lynx's work can curiously hardly be seen in the Artist's Forum for the past three months, and I've personally never seen any of his graphic design, apart from the appropriate and very cool signatures and avatars he has equipped himself with, and lets face it, signatures and avatars play one of the biggest roles in graphic design.

Olette produces some of the best signatures, wallpapers and the works. She may not have shown THAT many, but for what she lacks in quantity she more than makes up with quality. The Backgrounds in her sigs and wallpapers are simply amazing, often having bright vibrant colours and making good use of lighting and blending. She has a great way of getting an image, and building the whole signature around it and manages to stick with and develop a very good theme.

Owen Macwere is the new boy in town and has shown great skill for how long he has been making signatures. Everyone seems to like him too, which helps :D
He has already produced a mass amount of signatures and seems to make a few every day. His signatures have grown very good because he has kept at it and never got tired of making them! I'm sure many people will be rooting for Owen, so good luck to him!

Rye is the winner of the Best Graphic Designer at the End of Year 2005 Ciddies by a large amount of votes, and she hasn't stopped creating work and improving since then. Her signatures are often full of vibrant colours and good ideas and are certainly a inspiration for everyone else. Rye is the master at variation and no one piece of work is like the other. Her trademark colour seems to be pink if I am correct, which stands out a lot. ^_~

Spiffing Cheese is the master of fading characters and people in her signatures to give them a more blended feel. And she often has many pictures of the same character on one signature. The last 10 or something signatures of hers were my favourite because, well, they were just awesome.
However, as far as i'm aware (and I could easily be wrong), apart from the animated gif she has now, she has NOT produced a Clark Gable signature. tz tz tz

Zeldy produces some of the best (hope you dont mind me saying this:) gothic signatures around and they are often darkly coloured and themed. However, she also produces some very 'fluffy' ones with sugar coating or just normal but great looking ones, so she knows variation. She often makes signatures of her favourite band, but unfortunately I cant tell what band it is by looking at them (call me ignorant) :(
Her wallpapers are of the same brilliant quality!

A funny little picture that internet nerds put next to their names. Cos they’re weird like that.
Tonight, we celebrate that last, and most pathetic, definition. These pictures not only eat up bandwidth and fill the screen with irritating GIFs of things pooping at each other, but can also be used for the light side of the force- like a lightsaber, or an effeminate English robot, they can be tools for good, offering a myriad of wonderful and pointless ways to express… err… things. Things which get expressed. Like… erm… feelings, and stuff. THEY DO! ACCEPT IT!
Anywhich, this forum, wonderful as it is, has it’s own particularly impressive display of these needless bandwidth-gobblers, flying down the interweb-pipes and into your eyes like a sherbet turtle.


This year (so here with the hefty list), the pixel gods have granted us such candied delights as:
Anaisa- A t-rex. What’s not to like? Plus the fact it’s all grey makes it look artsy and clever. Like a professor or a flannel or something.
boris no no- Little dancing rabbit. Twice the bandwidth, but four times the love!
Del Murder- Unlike many avatars, this is actually a photo of Del Murder himself, because he lives on a string, where everything is monochrome. Cos he’s weird.
Ki Ki- An egg… or so it seems! Dun dun duuunnn!
kikimm- Shiny, like a duckling in warm milk.
Kyono- Nosselstrattenly good.
Meat Puppet- Dressly put. Hmm… how queer… queer like a fox! Ha ha ha! I’m so witty!
Miriel- Noodle pastrami on a fancified stick of some sort. Accept it. I just know more than you. There’s no shame in it. You dummy.
Neel- Little sprites decapitating each other- it’s an enigma wrapped in a pickle, to quote Bob Fossil.
Old Manus- A happy storm-trooper? Clearly he has found a cheeseburger lodged in his ear, and has had an unexpected, but welcome, snack. Good for him!
RSL- You couldn’t out-pixel this with a camel on a pogo stick.
Spiffing Cheese- This shocked looking Time Lord has a level of spiff surpassed only by cheese itself.
Squishy- We don’t know what this is, and frankly, don’t want to. But we love it cos it’s special. (Everyone go “aww”. I command it! For I am Thrognar, Lord of Cues!)
Ultima Shadow- Like a photonic weenie, this verbs the adjective noun.

Ki Ki is one of the few girls that can make a mustache look good! kikimm, not to be confused with ki ki, might not look so good in a mustache, but this cannot be confirmed by me. rubah, with her lowercase r, is quite adorable. Rye, a former winner of this award, is loved by many. smittenkitten is pretty much the definition of cute! Zeldy, last December's winner, has only become cuter since then! zellyhottie might be the dark horse here, but with a name like that, how can you not think cute?
