So who has seen Cars?

My friends and I saw it late last night... yes, it's a G movie. I thought it was great. Really, really great. I'm actually SCARED at how much I enjoyed it, considering I hate car racing and have never loved Pixar as much as so many other people. But I didn't think it shoulda been G... PG seemed more, what with the obvious stereotypes and the two uses of "Hillbilly Hell."

The end with the drive-in movie was awesome.

Maybe it's the advertising, but this movie looks lame. The concept doesn't seem like it'd go very far. Of course, I know if I saw it, I'd like it, because it's a Pixar flick, and they always do a good job. But I just have to get over the hump of just thinking it doesn't look interesting first.

A friend of mine saw it and told me it was really good. I still don't plan to see it, though.

Pixar is notorious for having some of the worst trailers around. None of their trailers, from Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, heck even Toy Story did justice to the actual movie.

So given the trend, I think you can safely assume that even if the trailer, commercials, advertising is "blah" the movie itself will be great.

The commercials for Cars are horrible. But it's getting wonderful reviews and it is Pixar, the company that has yet to have a flop.
