I know about Tina and Lock, but what about the other names?
I'd like to use them on my next playthrough. :)

No worries, I already found the other ones from searching. :D

It's obviously like this:

Terra = Tina
Locke = Lock
Sabin = Mash
Cyan = Cayenne
Strago = Stragus

Or we could discuss the Japanese names vs. the American names. I prefer Sabin to Mash by far.

In that case, LOL! :D

I think Tina sounds a little cuter that Terra, but I've grown used to the English versions, so Terra feels more... correct. :cool:

Tina is supposed to sound "exotic" or something, but it doesn't sound that way in English, so they chose "Terra".

'ti' is hard to write in japanese, its not a native sound.

I prefer the English names. I hope SE doesn't give the characters their original Japanese names for the US GBA version

They didn't fix Rydia or Edward for FFIV, so don't worry about it.

But they did with the Elemental Fiends though

yeah i kinda gotten used to their american names, but the japanese names are good for me too, since the japanese tongue is the same as my country's own.

Kawaii Ryűkishi, Crossblades :

oh yea, aside from the elemental fiends, and sorry to be out of topic, but dont you think the old picture of Paladin Cecil and Rosa was better than the new ones? Rosa's hair was brown! i liked it ;_; now shes blond... i got used to brown haired Rosa and now I feel that Cecil just cheated on her XD

As long as we're discussing Final Fantasy IV in the wrong board, what was Edward's Japanese name?
