Tiamat help

Yeah. I got this game like 8 months ago and got to Gizalamuke,(whatever it is) and I got bored with it. So, I put it down for about 6 and a half months. I let my friend borrow it and he's on Disc 4 and he needs help beating Tiamat desperatley. Please post tips as to beating so I can tell him asap. thanks.

Most bosses in the game are easy with Auto-Regen (on all characters).

Wait until your time bars are filled then allow Tiamat to attack, incase he decides to use Jet. Then let loose with your strongest attacks/healing spells. Not much else to it really. Abilities like Auto-Haste, Auto-Regen etc. help.

I agree. Other than that, just slay him with all of your strongest attacks. He is not that hard if you make sure to heal.

Just make sure you watch out for his snort attack though.It will blow one of your characters away from battle.

All FFIX boss are easy (Ozma is not in the list). Auto-Regen, Plus healing with Garnet/Eiko, magical attack from Quina/Vivi, and physical attack with Zidane/Freya/Steiner/Amarant.

Don't use Auto-Float, it will give more damage to you (Wind hits more when the target is floating).
Have Steiner to do Shock for a cheap 9999 damage. Or use Earth Shake with Quina for Earth Damage (He is not floating, right?).

Or use Zanmato, you will win eventually.:tongue:

Alright have these on his characters:

Auto haste
Auto regen

Forget beating the game without those. Then, here are the party members you should use:

Zidane
Garnet/Eiko
Steiner
Vivi

Have Zidane attack and steal
Have Garnet heal and use summons, or have eiko use carbuncle, holy, and heal
Have steiner use shock the whole time (9999)
And equip reflectx2 on Vivi then cast Thundaga off of everyone because carbuncle casts reflect on the whole party. (9999)

I'm amazing, so I always have Zidane steal. He only attacks when there's nowt left to steal. Amarant: No Mercy non-stop. 9999 damage. Freya: Dragon's Crest or summmat. 9999 damage. Steiner: Shock. 9999 damage. And when Zidane does attack it's 9999 damage. Easy as cake.

I've defeat Tiamat 145 times, so... I know her very well.
The best way is having Zidane with Ultima Weapon, using Soul Blade, so that Tiamat falls asleep, then with Dagger use Bahamut, Steiner with Climazzard and Vivi with Flare, do this during some time and Tiamat will rarely attack you. Gotcha?

Don't forget... In the map where Tiamat is there are the Rune Claws, the best weapons to Amarant.
