What's different?

I just finished the Hardtype release and I am wondering what is different. The enemies and bosses were tougher, there were more items (which I found completely annoying), and the language was different, however, I didn't see and new summons or quests.

Did I miss something?

As far as I know, the only spell or quest difference was the cockatrice summon that could be gained from roc babies, eagles, and anything else that looked like them.
