Square Enix and Konami are teaming up to produce a game.

Famitsu magazine have released details of Kojima Studios teaming up with Square Enix's Final Fantasy Studios to create a Metal Gear/Final Fantasy type of game.

Although not a lot has been released about this game, it is believed that the game is a strong mix of fantasy and stealth elements, which is what the two studios are famous for. Thus, the game is being described as a tactical RPG and will borrow elements from Final Fantasy Tactics and Metal Gear Acid.

This could turn out awesome. I'm imagining an action RPG where you've got skills like concealment and stealth in addition to traditional JRPG stuff. Like something from The Elder Scrolls or Forgotten Realms universes. Just better.

I remember hearing about that a while ago and that it was a hoax.

Oh my god, the 2 computer games series I would never think about combining because ... why? Why combine the pair of them? Just because they are the most popular in their genre?

I think you are right but it woudn't be a problem to see a brand new Final Fantasy game that is merged with the Metal Gear series you know. :D
