So it's about that time again when the newbies pile in through the doors of EoFF fourms. Some people develop a "routine" of what they say to each newbie thread. What is yours? Also, Do you even like the vast amounts of newbies we always recieve at this time? Do you like newbies at all, or do you have a secret, or not so secret, laboratory in your basement that consits of evil things to use to destroy them all?

I try to pick out something new for each newbie. :)

I always say, "Hello and welcome to EoFF". :) Maybe I'll add something in there sometimes.

I don't mind all the newbies. As long as they stay and actually post it's fine. I don't like it when they post a few things or never post anything at all. What the hell is the point of taking the time to join if you're never going to do anything?

I have nothing against newbies. They have as much right to be here as I do (unless they've broken enough rules to have them banned while they are still a newbie). I'm not going to be bitter towards somebody just because they found this site later than I did.

I don't have a regular welcome for newbies. I use any welcome line I can think of at the time and try not to be stupid about it. If too many people have posted a message similar to what I am thinking of posting I'll just walk away. Sometimes a newbie will write something interesting in his/her newbie thread which I could also post about.

I usually say the same thing.

Hello. Welcome to EoFF. :)

Unless, of course, I feel that they require me to give them a link to the FAQ or something. :cat:

I feel really bad, I rarely post in newbie threads. :( I'm not saying I never have, but hardly ever.
Then again I dont purport to be a good member of the boards so...

I never made a newbie thread, I just appeared.

edit - Also- this is the most interesting topic name I've seen in awhile.

I give a lame witty picture or comment usualy. Hence why I dont post in every newbie thread.

I usually create variations on my usual new member welcome, or add a different comment. Eventually it gets hard to have something new to say for each newbie, but I try.

I usually cause miserable destruction to their lives because I KNOW WHAT YOUR THINKING RIGHT NOW *shakes hands*

Theories of life loosely related to newbies backwards. :) Or at least that's what I used to do. Now I just say "Welcome!" and say something boring.

If I weren't too lazy, I'd come up with fun and interesting ways of welcoming newbs. Like....

Well, I can't think of anything. So, welcome.

"Welcome to EoFF and don't drink the water" or something simmilar.

Ha everytime i read my own title for this i have to laugh.
I usually post a warning about the poster previous to my own post and just a welcome.
Such as, "Welcome and watch out, some EoFFers have gone missing. It's rumored to be DarkLadyNyara but we're not saying any names."

I like to have the mew welcome them personally, so right off the bat they know I am mentally unstable and should be approached with caution. In fact, most of them don't approach me at all afterwards. 3:

"Hello and Welcome to hell" is mine, I hardly even communicate with newbs nowadays. Bad for the eyes.

I don't say anything. There are enough people around to welcome newbies without my input.

"Greetings and Salutations" with either some Latin wisdom, or a funny picture...:)

I've only been here for half a year. I don't think members had a fantastic impression of me at first, but hey, I've made friends here. So, the moral of the story is: give everyone a chance.

Well, my classic phrase is "HI HO TIPITY!!! welcome n.n", and sometimes something extra, but is really weird.
