I always use the Gimp. I think it is perfectly capable of making great sigs.

MS Paint.

Photoshop.

Not that I have a sig, but if I felt like making one that's what I'd use.

My current sig would be made in Firefox, I guess.

I concur. Real men use MS Paint, instead of letting those Paintshops doing it for them.

I did not realize that any signature-making programs existed. I am obviously out of the loop.

That was my first thought as well.

Pretending that ms paint is a good program worthy of being used is about as dumb as it gets. I mean seriously, the only reason to use it is if you're going to be stuck up about it.

I usually use psp7 because it's not difficult to use at all, and I'm more used to it than PS7.

I don't understand why anyone would use an animation program just to make a static signature?

MS Paint, because that's all I have aside from Microsoft Picture Manager. I'm pretty good with Photoshop 7 now thanks to some computer class at school. I want to get my hands on a copy for myself.

I always felt like Photoshop was de facto in image editing.

I use Paint Shop Pro 7, and sometimes Microsoft Paint. I think my current signature was made with both of them, although it was mostly copying and pasting, and moving the pictures around.

I also use Paint Shop Pro 7, although I don't really know how to do that much with it. 99.9% of the time, though, it crashes.

I use Photoshop at work all the time, and I'm pretty sure I could make some excellent sigs with it. However, I don't have a licensed copy for home use. :/

Adobe Photoshop C2 and Imageready C2.
Same, though I find doing animation in Imageready is a painful task. I really dod not like how it works...

Macromedia Fireworks MX

Didn't Adobe bought Macromedia or something like that? I remember last year in my Digital Tech class mentioning that.

I've never used Paintshop Photoshop CS2 in my life except once when
I made a sig for Yamaneko (in his usernotes like the last post.)

I just had a natural talent!

I don't think so, but I like more Fireworks than Photoshop anyways

And imagine... Adobe in place of Macromedia, in the Flash name? I don't like that...

I used Photoshop CS2 to throw my current sig together.

Yes, Adobe bought Macromedia last year, for like a couple million dollars.

Adobe to acquire Macromedia

On April 18, 2005 Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq: ADBE) announced a definitive agreement to acquire Macromedia (Nasdaq: MACR) in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $3.4 billion. By combining the passion, creativity, and technology of two leading-edge companies, we will continue to drive innovations that help people and organizations everywhere communicate better.

I recently upgraded to Adobe Photoshop CS2.

It makes me giggle to think that this very powerful program used by professionals all over the world is also used by people to make banners for internet forums. :p

Oh Em Geeee, Photoshop! Well, that's usually for merging all my creations. I've been venturing into pixel art lately, and I use GraphicsGale free edition for that. It's a fantastic program.

Jasc PSP7 isn't free o_O;;

But yeah, I use Paint Shop Pro 7. I've always preferred PSP to Photoshop.

MS Paint + IrfanView. I can use Photoshop, sort of, too... I used it to make the Team exDee sig. But as for all my other sigs, all I've ever done is scan, crop, possibly throw in a bit of text using MS Paint, possibly resize or rotate using IrfanView (or that program I use for scanning).

I use Photoshop CS2 for just about everything, except for screencapturing, which Paint can handle, and the picture viewer for the simple task of looking at images.
