Now I've been trying to get my hands on FFVI and FFVIII for quite a while now. and the only place I've been able to find either of them is at my local rental video shop. But I've been informed by them that I can't purchase either game. So I've decided what I'm gonna do. thing is its practially stealing.

I'm going to rent the games and when the return comes i shall weave a story of how they "broke" and pay the fee. This will turn out to be cheaper then buying them of eBay. Much cheaper.

So the question arises, should I do it for both games, one game, or neither?

PLEASE ANSWER POLL

Well, FFVI can be emulated, not that I would suggest that since it's illegal, and if you pm'ed me about it I would definitely _not_ provide you a link to where you can download it. Or you could send an e-mail, but I will definitely _not_ reply. Or you could wait for it to release on GBA, as it will be available in like every store then.

FFVIII is a little worse to find.

How much will the fee be to pay?

I dont think they would believe that they both broke whislt you had them both out at the same time. Perhaps you could say you were robbed and your box of computer games was taken along with your consoles and the games happened to be in the box.

To be honest, FFVII can easily be found, and as Levian said, FFVI can be emulated. All of these games are available in New Condition down at my local EB Games. Wait for future releases.

The price on this is funny though.

Order them from Square Enix, or get them on another site. Unless you don't want to pay over the Internet...

In that case you can download a ROM version of FF6 (it's on the SNES as "Final Fantasy 3"), though you will also need an SNES emulator (I recommend ZNES) but I will warn you ROMS are illegal. You can also emulate all the PSX Final Fantasy games on a PSX emulator, but those things tend to be annoying due to not having the proper files right away...

I got my VI and VIII off Ebay, for about 20 quid each. Think VI was abit more exspensive. I'm not sure how many dollars that is, but its not much I dont think.

It's really hard to get caught using emulators. Most sites say "You MUST already have the cartridge and are using this ROM as a back-up" or "You may only download this ROM for 24 hours"... but hell, who's really gonna know? I've had Pokemon Emerald for awhile now. Good stuff.

No stealing, it is unjust and unfair.

I don't think they'll let you rent it anyway (they're not THAT dumb).

You can easily emulate FFVI. (Or buy it...wouldn't be too hard.) It's not like the robotic emulation patrol force will burst into your window and blast your computer. You'll be fine.

If you must steal from Blockbuster or what-have-you, you could just rent them, never return them, and never return to that store. (The standard way of ripping off rental places.) It's up to you if you must steal it or not...it can't really be that expensive.

Of course.... (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/002-1986153-3613622?%5Fencoding=UTF8&search-type=ss&index=videogames&field-browse=11846801&field-keywords=Final%20Fantasy%20Anthology)

Yeah thanks guys. I don't think I'm allowed to download an emulator. My internet is so /xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif it ain't funny. It took 3 hr's to download a 25.6M movie. So that out of the question. So is ordering them from SE and eBay. Too much hassle.

Oh I forgot to mention. They had both of them for sale earlier but they went off sale when no-one bought them. So it will practially be the same. Oh and I can't just not return it cause my dad goes there all the time.
