Did anyone actually like Chrono Trigger? Cos by the sounds of things, everyone who has played it thought it sucked but I played it and thought it was great! (Probably because of the fact that I haven't played a decent RPG in a while!) So did anyone like it?

I thought it was fun. Not much character development, but that's nearly immpossible in a game with so many characters. Otherwise, it was great.

Chrono Trigged had a lot of characters? It had about the same amount as most other RPGs.
I thought it was good.

I always thought people held it in quite high esteem. Are you sure you're not thinking of Chrono Cross? I know for a fact people are very vocal about how much they think it sucked.

I didn't play it. But I would never say any game stunk or anything. People worked really hard on it, and thats what makes a good RPG. I only played Chrono Cross, which was a good game.

I thought most people liked Chrono Trigger a lot. I think the game's very good in about every way. The story is interesting, you'll grow fond of the main characters, and the side characters are nice too, and it's nice to have so many different time zones with each having their own settings and substories. Not to mention each most time zones have their own villain character. The battle system is fun, it's a mix of ATB and fighting in the dungeon area without moving to a battle screen, and double and triple techs are a really great idea. :) The music also gives me a lot of nostalgic memories of the game.

Chrono Trigger was a great game. Chrono Cross, however, wasn't nearly as good, and the amount of characters did detract from it, as none of them were developed as they should be.

Chronop Trigger is my favorite RPG but waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too short even with sidequests and extra endings. Chrono Cros........ not so much.

Guess I might have to track this game down and give it a play.

Yes, I've played CT too many times to be considered healthy. I have yet to play Cross, though If I find it, I will end up purchasing it.

I'm sure you actually mean Chrono Cross because Chrono Trigger was a masterpiece that is impossible to dislike, unless you're stupid.
Chrono Cross was a good game as well, but not nearly up to par with Trigger.

Chrono Trigger rocks.
However, I thought the execution camp in Geno Dome, 2300 A.D., was scary. :(

Chrono Trigger is thought very highly of, I think you might of mixed it up with Chrono Cross.
I was disappointed with CT, it was a good game but it was overrated, people got my hopes up to much. All I can say is that the music lived up to the hype, the music in CT is some of the best music found in any game.

I liked the final battle. It was a challenge, but at the same time, it actually went well with the storyline, unlike some games I've played where the final boss has nothing to do with the game.

I think I might have a one sided mind towards this game but I really liked it. It was the very first RPG game I ever played and completed. But in any case, I thought it was a rockin'/

Wait, people hate this game? Since when? I love this game, I think it's one of the best RPGs of all time.
I wasn't a big fan of Chrono Trigger. But you're certainly thinking of a different game. 'Cause there's only like three people who've played CT and not liked it.

Some people might not like it just because it didn't live up to the hype (which almost nothing does), but it's still a great game.

The Future scarred the mittens out of me.
I stop playing once I get to the future. It's kind of like, I stop playing Zelda games when I can fish, because fishing is awesome. But the future terrifies me, therefore I've won the game and no need to play more.

CT is my absolute fave game of all time. Nothing comes close to it's greatness, and nothing ever will.

CT is one of my Fav's, Its great and truely deserves a more expanded series. With the Third Generation consoles imagine how Zeal would look and the music, woo. We never did see the full towns only the central one roomed halls or what was behind the mountain or at the sides up on zeal.
The music was good, great battle system, good areas and the plot made you think.

Chrono Trigger was great, and I don't care what anybody else says. The battle system was cool too. It's one of my top games made by Square Enix.
