Is Berserk good or bad??

Is berserk a good thing or not because I thought bersek makes your strength increase:confused:

You are mistaking Berserk in FFX with Berserk from all the other FFs.

In FFX, Berserk provides no bonuses to your Strength rating, and due to the strategic nature of the game, which is based entirely on taking your turns and using them to the fullest, you need that turn to be able to pump out as much damage as you can by any means possible.

This usually does not involve Berserk. Berserk also is not player castable, and is enemy only, and MOST (not all) of the time, Berserk is cast in tandem with other malicious ailments, such as Poison and Confusion (Bad Breath, anyone?). However, Dark Elementals and Black Elementals can cast Berserk alone.

You Int. and PAL players are really missing out. It's FUN watching your characters beat the living snot out of each other while dying from Malaria.

However, FFX-2's Berserk is far more useful.

Right. Berserk is basically only cast upon your team for the sole purpose of hindering your chances for winning the fight. Take Spectral Keeper for instance; it casts berserk on your team in order for you to attack it immediately so that it can pull off a mean counter-attack on three members of your team. Or a Malboro; it casts berserk along with darkness, poison, and confusion so that you'll keep attacking but at the same time, you'll keep missing so that you'll eventually die of poison.

The only being that berserk really aids is the Wendigo that you fight by the Macalainia Temple.

I like Mad Rush in FFVIII or Assault in FFX-2. In most of these FFs your strength will increase but you lose control of your character.

FFX's Berserk DOES NOT GIVE A STRENGTH BONUS.

The Berserk in other FFs will.

Depends on the situation, if the beserker is an ordinary bulldozer then yeah, but if it's someone like yuna you're screwed.

i think they made sure you wouldnt have berserk is because you will always have a turn to cure it when you feel like it but on other games you have to hurry cuz they can get 3 or 4 turns before you cure them and in this game most berserk magic affects all characters

but berserk will mostly be casted with other ailments like poison or sleep or confusion so you cant cure
