Close between Fullmetal and Trigun, but FMA's story is a little deeper than Trigun's and it's well executed.

Naruto and Inu Yasha are braindead filth, of course. Fullmetal Alchemist and Trigun aren't high art by any standard, either, but they're definitely the superior pair. From there, I'd go with Trigun since, if nothing else, its story doesn't drag on forever like FMA's does.

FMA really isn't about sword fighting and trying to act cool, it's just automatically cool because of the sotry, plot lines and small base of characters whereas Naruto has hundreds but only a small fraction are main characters that are used mostly that are involved in the storyline. Inuyasha is pretty good too but FMA wins it. I like 'em all really.

He could just alchemize uber stuff and shoot anyone who calls him short, so shhhh. he's 5'2 or something, so he aint a midget. FFX did have swords and guns though so did X-2. :D I'm bad....

FMA is the best out of those 4, with Trigun on a close second.
Naruto might have been the 3rd, if it just hadn't started sucking, like it does now. It was really cool in the beginning.
Inuyasha I haven't seen too much of, but from the 20 or so episodes I saw, it didn't look too interesting.
However, the best series I have ever seen is Scrapped Princess.

Out of those options FMA. The soundtrack rocks, the characters are given surprisingly much depth, the animation is beautiful, the story has quite a few twists and turns, being both funny and tragic at times, there are cool villains, even minor characters from early episodes aren't forgotten as the series progresses, and at least the seiyū (Japanese voice actors) do a good work on portraying the characters. :)

It's kind of hard to choose which anime is the best, because all anime series have their pros and cons. I'm quite fond of Wolf's Rain, though, so it might take the first place if I had to choose out of the anime series I've seen. :p

Again, Scrapped Princess is made by BONES (http://anidb.info/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=producer&prid=39), the same folks who did Full Metal Alchemist. That particular studio has been pumping out high quality and enjoyable shows since RahXephon, which was their first show produced by themselves. They previously worked on Escaflowne, doing the animation.

If you liked Evangelion, I highly suggest RahXephon. If you didn't like Evangelion, then I reccommend RahXephon even more strongly. It's a lot friendlier (the characters aren't annoying), yet it's still very much a show where you have to think and re-watch to get the full story. And the dub is pretty good.

Out of those four, Naruto ive never seen in shops, Trigun and FMA are avalable, but I recently bought the Inuyasha Season 1 Boxed Set...so my vote goes to that.

Well, I really like much more the late 80's and 90's animes, like Escaflowne, Samurai Pizza Cats, but between the newer, I just love Trinity Blood and Hellsing.

Oh, and I hate Naruto :[, the only one I like, and just a little, between that series is FMA
