Red Steel is the 2nd third party game that was announced for the Nintendo Wii, (The first was Pangya Golf by Tecmo) being created by the guys in Ubisoft who have worked on Ghost Recon, Prince of Persia, and Splinter Cell.
While I wasn't totally hyped on the game, it's scheduled to be a Wii launch title. I'll probably pick it up if the Wii is "Duck Hunt"-less at launch.

The main hook of the game is the Katana swordplay, and folks who played it at E3 were mostly disappointed with how it was handled. According to this article, it seems that Ubisoft has improved on the control, and things are on track for this being one of Wii's strongest titles.

Oh yeah, seen this in a Wii trailer. It does look great and the fact that the controlling has been dealt with is better. Its on my list :D

This is why you don't treat what you see at E3 as the finished product. The E3 prototype for the DS didn't even have a slot to hold the stylus!
