May I ask...why?

You can download every cut scene and FMV from both KH's from a certain site. Then if you need to you can save them and copy em to a disc.

This is all speculation. I don't think I helped so sorry.

If you had a 56k...yea...I know...

That is why I rather rip them out...

Yes but you need a video capturing board to do it. And you can not use it anywhere, since it would be illegal on most countries.

But in US and the Philippines we have the fair use law so I believe you are allowed to save some small parts of your gaming video - strictly for personal use so that you can improve your results or as a backup. But I'm not a lawyer so do it at your own risk...

It shouldn't be that different, but from what I'm guessing, this might be out of date. Can't hurt to try. Unless you have viruses on your computer. Using this, you extract the FMVs and cutscenes DIRECTLY from the disc as a movie file. What Renmiri suggests would involve turning on the PS2.

Aye but it is sooo complicated!!!

With a video board it is much easier!

It's easy to do with KHII. I've done it. I've yet to figure out or meet anyone who knows how to sucessfully rip the FMVs from the first KH. There is a ripping program availible for Final Mix, but not the NTSC version of the original Kingdom Hearts. I've tried everything and nothing works.

And capture cards give you sub par quality in comparison to direct ripping. Nothing beats a direct digital rip of the source footage.

Okay, I'm using a program called DVD Decryptor and was able to extract some video clips on the KHII disc but I was not able to extract everything...why's that?

Basically, the anti-write copy system that is put into place for most DVDs. DVD Decryptor isn't even a guarantee to get everything from a normal DVD, much less one that is used for a different system/medium.

Suffice it to say, since it has been a year, you could easily find all of the cutscenes online either at YouTube or KHVids. This includes the FM+ cutscenes, of which would be much nigh nearer to impossible to rip.

However, as we discussing illegal things, and this thread has been dead for a long time, I find it... unecessary. In simple terms, the people who made this went through a long way to make sure that people do not steal content.

We don't condone discussion of illegally ripping content from DVDs.
