to get tidus to kill that helm after luca when auron shows off his skills is it possible to actually beat him with a tidus attack and if you do what do they say

I don't think so. I could be wrong but I've never done it.

It is possible if you seriously over level. The reappearing sinscales in the battle with Sin on the S.S. Liki are a good place to earn AP, but the game crashes if you do it for too long. I've not done it myself though, so I couldn't say what happens.
