What is Guitar Hero like? Is it really as fun as it looks...or is it overrated?

It is fun, but I cant play it :D I watch my boyfriend and his friends play it and they do really well. Maybe cause they already play guitar.

It's a lot of fun, but unless you have someone to play with and compete with (at least for me), I got kinda tired of it after I beat it on Expert. This doesn't include The Breaking Wheel, which is impossible to beat.

If you like music games and rock n' roll, then you would enjoy this game a lot. It's a lot of fun. I was disappointed in the 2 player because it's just the 2 of you taking turns playing the same track, and it splits you between the 2 stereo channels. It was still fun, but I was expecting more.
Guitar Hero 2 looks like it *does* give you more, you can actually choose a different track on the same song (like bass instead of lead guitar) and play at the same time as the other person. Looking forward to that one.

I'd love to get it. I have some spare money so I might. Or I might get SingStar 80's...

My friend owns this game, and it comsumes me every time I go over. I stayed at his house once, and after we'd played for about three hours, he passed out and left the guitar to me. He woke up five hours later to find still playing (After having just beaten Ziggy Stardust of expert  ). That game is like a drug.

I can sooner turn water into wine than pass The Breaking Wheel on Expert. :(

I have always wanted to play this game, but never have had the chance. I want it soooo bad.
