got to the 2300AD to MT Woe, there should be a building near there i think. When you go in there should be a door openable by your pendant. go in and proceed further and some guy will lecture you on what you have to do and he will send dolls to help you. Climb up the mountain now and it will be like a normal level with enemies and whatnot. keep proceeding through the obvious paths and when you get to the top you exchange fake chrono for real chrono.

The mountain where you should be going to is the Death Peak in 2300 AD, not Mt. Woe, which is a mountain in 12,000 BC. If you got Magus in your party, use him because his magic works very well against the enemies in the Death Peak. When you fight the Lavos Spawns, keep attacking the head, not the shell. Watch out for the wind since it can knock you away from your route very easily, which can get a bit annoying. When you make it to the top, I'd suggest putting either Marle or Lucca into your party for a special scene between her and Crono.

If you beat the game without reviving him you get a sad-ish/good ending.

If I remember correctly, that ending is quite short and doesn't really have much going on, but there's quite a bittersweet part in the end when Marle flies off with the balloons, and she ends up at the top of the Death Peak. She sees a shadow of Crono in the horizon, and she runs towards him as the screen fades to black. I'd suggest saving that ending for New Game Plus since all those side quests before the final battle just aren't the same without Crono, IMHO.
