Im having a little trouble with my disc i think. When im in space with rinoa and her life support turns on, right during that scene my game freezes. Ive tried it many many time with no results. The disc is clean with minor scratches and everything is fine with the rest of my games and other CD's. Was more or less wondering if there is way to skip the whole scene rather then letting it go through and just freeze. Any help would be appreciated. Or any other ideas would be good, other wise ill just find someone with another copy, im the only one of most my friends that plays FF though so might just be a new one somewhere lol.

In IX, opening and closing the PlayStation cover skips an FMV. I don't know if this works with VIII though, and if you run it on PS2 or PC I guess it doesn't...

Or you could do like another poster did and upload the save file of your game and ask someone else to get you past the scene.

This also happened to me but only once fortunately. For a lot of the other FMV's it keeps stopping and starting. I reached the point where I had to buy another copy of the game since it got completely stuck at one particular scene. But to me the game is worth £50 so buying it twice at £15 isn't too bad

Alright thanks for the replies. I think ill just find another copy or buy one soon. i would like to get past that part so i can go do all that cool stuff on the 4th disc with the ragnarok and whatnot, been to long since i last did all that junk. and I did try opening and closing it like in ff9 but no that doesnt work unfortunatly.
