How do I get to firewall bc I haven't gotten to fight the stone golem?

Huh? What do you mean? You have to fight Stone Golem first, he'll be in the round table room in the Ruins of Mosel. (It's an unavoidable battle.) Are you sure you've done all the necessary events to progress the story? (Talked to the queen to get permission? Go back to Kaddan for the Sacred Orb?)

well I went through the round table room and through that confusing place with the runic chess battle at the end, and never fought a stone golem

Ooooh. Okay. You can probably feel safe with beating the game now. You just need to go through the other stairway next to the one that led to that dungeon. Then you can enter the firewall.

You already beat the Stone Golem just before entering that place, so I'm still not sure what you mean by that part.

it won't let me go through it bc that door is still on it and the only stone golems I fought was at the fighting arena

Well...I don't really know what to say. If what you say is true, then something's really messed up with your disc or something.

I'm going to type out the order of events in what you do when you go back to Elicoor, so just see if you did everything right:

-Go talk to the Queen to see if you can borrow the Sacred Orb
-Go through Kaddan and retrieve the Orb
-Go back and talk to the Queen
-Go to Mosel, and go to the round table room. Defeat the Stone Golem to open up the two doors. One of them leads to the Basement of Mosel (optional dungeon) and the other leads to the room where you enter the Firewall.
-Go through Firewall
-Go through Spiral Tower
-Fight Final Boss

Well, I think that's it. (I could be off, I'm a bit tired right now.)
