There's a Bergkamp goal on that montage that is exquisite. Long-range goals don't really impress me that much - too much of a lottery. Plus, it's often (but not always) just about shooting, not control, dribbling, first touch etc.

Nah, as far as I'm concerned, circumstances aren't that important. The best goals are brilliant even when taken out of context. Most people wouldn't even be able to tell you the final score of this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v64exGkaD_Y&search=Bergkamp) game, for example.

Oh, and if we're doing own goals as well, this Lee Dixon effort (http://footballdixon.ytmnd.com/) is probably one of the best. It's no Sandy Brown, but it's not bad.
