So I'm in the Calm Lands right now on my current playthrough. I was riding on a chocobo, exploring all of it, and I came across this little path in the northwest that sloped downward. However, there's this lady guarding it, saying I can't go down there. So I talk to her and she says that she doesn't know why she's guarding it, and if something really unique happens, she might move.

Does anybody have any info on this? Is there any way to get down there?

You have to do the chocobo things and on a certain one(can't remember which) get a time of exactly 0 seconds.

I think that is where you get Tidus Caladbog??

You need to beat the chocobo trainer in the Catcher Chocobo race, then go directly to the slope without leaving the Calm Lands. If you have the Celetial Mirror you can get Tidus' Caladbolg.

f f freak, you're thinking of the Sun Sigil. You need to get a time of less than 0:00.0 to get it.

Man, is it even worth it to get the Caladbolg? Any of the Celestial weapons for that matter?

Most of them are worth the time. There isn't a a point to have an argument about it.

However, Caladbolg, Onion Knight, and Spirit Lance are the ones that may not be worth the effort.

All of them ignore the target's Defence stat when they're used physically, and they save you having to find 60 Dark Matters each time you want to customise Break Damage Limit. All the CWs are pretty easy to find and power up. People only seem to have trouble getting the sigil for Tidus, Lulu and Kimahri.

Yeah Lulu's... I don't want to have to go through that.

It may not be worth it to get the sigils but it is worth it to power the weapons up and get Break Damage Limit for the aeons...

You don't need to power up the CWs at all to get BDL for the aeons. Possessing the weapon is enough.

but don't you have to power the CWs with their crests to get BDL for SOME of the aeons?...

TheSpoonyBard

No. The aeons that don't automatically have BDL will be able to deal more than 9,999 damage once you get the weapon. You don't need to power them up with the crests.

they are worth the effort once you power them up so that you lose the no ap that comes with them. however tidus, rikku, wakka and kimahris weapons lose power as you lose hp, lulu and yunas lose power as they lose mp. Aurons on the other hand gets more powerful the less HP you have.

below is a list of the weapons with which aeons they give the BDL ability to. Just the weapons will do, you do not need to have the corresponding Sigils / Crests

Caladbolg - none
Nirvana - Valefor
World Champion - Ifrit
Masamune - Yojimbo
Spirit Lance - Ixion
Godhand - None
Onion Knight - Shiva

bahamut, magus sisters and anima already have the BDL ability when you attain them!!

No, all the aeons can break the damage limit if you have the necessary weapons.
