Hey guys, just wanted to let any of you who were interested know I recorded a video of me playing my version of the battle theme from Final Fantasy 7 on guitar.

You can check it out at this YouTube link:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=QQuLl7MhO_o

Hope you guys enjoy it, I'd love to hear what you think. If you liked it hopefully you will show any of your friends who are into the FF games as well. Also thinking if people like this one I'll do some more FF songs that people request.

Thanks for listening!
-Daniel

Nice work! :) So did you perform the drum parts separately and mix them to that guitar part? If you want to play some more FF songs, one of the songs you may want to do is FFV's Battle with Gilgamesh (Clash on the Big Bridge).

Nicely done, good stuff.

That was very kick ass. And I'm favoriting it.

The only thing I have to nitpick is that sometimes it strays from the original melody a bit, but I'd imagine it'd be hard to do everything perfectly with a guitar. (Then again, I don't know anything about how to play music.)

It was very good nonetheless. If you did the FFVII boss theme, and maybe the Battle on the Big Bridge, that would be cool.

I still think it's very good.

Maybe I've been spoiled by all the crap on Youtube, but I didn't go in expecting much. Unlike 95% of the stuff on Youtube though, that was actually good. Great job man, you should be proud of that solid performance.

Not bad :p

Now try something more fast-paced like FF5's Battle on the Big Bridge or FF6's Boss Battle theme :p

Straying from the original isn't necessarily a bad thing. If you can keep it sounding a like the original yet add your own flair to it then you have gone a step further than playing the original; something I feel you have done. Nice job. You seem like a rather splendid gentleman. Maybe you'll stick around here for a bit.

...wow... you are amazing at this. you should do more tunes. i liked that more than the one on the game. the guitar makes it amazing. you should do some more tunes. the ff6 boss tune would be great. and if you can play the guitar fast enough the do the start of the big bridge tune that would be good. i think you could make some sort of collection of those on youtube. im going to listen to that again. rock on and rock hard! *does rock symbol with fingers.*

Good, how did you do that?

if you mean how he played that well the answer is this. there have been loads of guitarist as fast as that and better. Jimmy hendrix, Tony iommi and Steve morse anyone? judging by your screen name i doubt you listen to much rock. if you mean how he played the tune its probly sheet music he found somewhere or hes just very good at that sort of thing.

no i mean how did he have the drums and other instruments playing if he only had a guitar? and i listen to every type of music as long as it's new.

pity because some of the best bands like deep purple and black sabbath were 70's and 80's bands. he is probly part of a band and the drums and stuff were his band mates playing along with him.

I kinda thought he just had the game running while he played, or the song playing on the stero or his computer or something

sorry if this post counts as reviving a dead thread.

id imagine he was playing the tune from the game in the background or had a band in the background.
