View Full Version : How Captains become wimps at ANY point in the game!

Hearken to my wise words, o nice readers!
I've discovered a nice little thingy about the Captains' battle strategy, which turns them into wimps at any point in the game!

Now behold the big secret:
they always seem to attack the most near death-ish character in the party, so all you need to do is basically having one character act as this person that always gets knocked down.
Now make sure to level up the Life spell a bit (Life 6 and up should suffice), and have that healer guy stand in the back row.
Now have the healer ALWAYS cast Life X on the WHOLE PARTY.
This will constantly revive the fallen character(s), while the others go all out with attacks.
I always used this strategy:

FIRION: Life 6
MARIA: Fire 6
GUS: Fight
?????: Fight

This way, you should be able to kick the bastard down pretty soon. :)

What if they use Arrow 3 on the healer and kill him/her? :confused:

Or you could just use teleport...

Fight in the forests NW of Phin until the enemies drop the spells Curse and Berserk. Level them up and then use Curse on the Captain and Berserk on your characters. That way you can defeat a Captain quite easily.

I just straight up kill him with physical attacks before anyone dies...

I appraoch him as a boss. A boss that loads on the lvl's, is rite next to town, and has no all hit moves! Plus lets not forget his drops are OK. Love Captains for training
