Anyway, aren't they more like symbiotes than parasites?

The primary difference between a parasite and a symbiotic organism is that while symbios is in favour of both organisms involved, parasites usually don't do anything for the organism from which they are living off of. In some cases they can make things worse. However many of these stomach parasites (usually inherited from the mother) are mostly benign. That is they don't do anything to harm you.

If you want some real horror stories you should go luck up the amount of bacteria on the surface of our skin.

Well, whether this is the truth or not, it is obvious that these parasites don't do harm to us. At least the ones that a person usually gets born with, else every one in four babies would have to get dewormed or something like that, which obvsiouly doesn't happen, so I think it's safe to assume that they're benign like Maxx Power says.

it's the ones that crawl up through your foot and eat your heart out that you gotta worry about.

My brother told me about those when I was six and it has scared me ever since.

I can only think of th e movie Aliens, but can't really make a sublime and witty reference, so I will just throw my cards on the table and let em be.

I was also wondering if the parasite was called and umbilical coord?

For those of you who are grossed out by this thread, you may have missed Maxx Power's post. So I'll reiterate:

There are millions and millions of micro-organisms thriving on all parts of your body at this very moment!!

....But it's not a big deal. If everyone was conscious all the time of the "micro world" around us, we'd probably all live in body condoms and never leave the house.

so firstly, i have to make a thread over who changed my skin to fluffy pink.

secondly, those other 3 babies, at least 2 of them will get stomach parasites from food later in life. so it doesn't matter.

Fluffy pink is the only way to live. ^_^;;

And I still say, ignorance is bliss. It's fine if I have parasites in me if I never notice them. :p

Well at least we have smittenkitten to defend FluffyPuff from the evil Bawb >:</>(

And when I say don't notice parasites, I mean... don't excrete them out or something -_-;; I remember when I lived in China, I saw that my cousin didn't wash his hands well one day before we ate, and the next day he was crying in the bathroom while trying to poo and my dad went in and had to pull two really sick black worms from his arse. True story. It frightens me :(
