I posted this in a thread at ACF, but I thought I would share it here too:

I was inspired to create this topic because the most expensive thing I have won to date I will be playing with later, once it's battery is charged up - I'm on about the AIBO dog, affectionately named Toby, which is worth over £1000 - I ain't frickin lying about the price! I won it in a competition in which you had to design a robot dog, it was a Jimmy Neutron competition for a Lunchables meal ( I know, it sounds sad..), and later on in the year, I got a letter back saying I was one of 5 lucky winners to receive an AIBO dog - I wish it never came with a pink ball, people kept calling it ghey D:

The carrying bag which came with it was worth £100 also o.o;;

..and since that time, I have never won anything frickin' better

Thats pretty cool.

The most expensive thing I've won would be..something in 5th grade worth $20.
Sad...

I won a couple thousand dollars in scholarships. That was neat.

What's that roughly in £? I'm not too sure about the money system and how it works in the US and when you compare it to the UK £ >.<

The most I won was a trip to a local resort. It was a competition to name a white baby tiger that was just born in the zoo. I got second place though.

The US dollar ($) is roughly half the value of a British pound. I won around $10,000 in scholarships. You do the math.

Sadly enough, that only covered about 1/3 of my first year in college.

If scholarships count as "winning" something, then yeah I won a lot of money.
