Mario's first Basket Ball game to have Final Fantasy Characters!

July 14, 2006 - Square Enix updated the Japanese Mario Hoops 3-on-3 website today with new character profiles and some sweet concept art. This latest update revealed the unexpected addition of Final Fantasy characters to the already incredible looking game. Finally, players will be able to see who would win a game of hoops: Daisy or Moogle.


The characters revealed today are franchise staples Ninja, White Mage, Black Mage, Moogle, and Cactuar. It is unknown whether or not these will be the only Final Fantasy characters to make an appearance in the game, as there are still more character revelations to come. Each of these characters comes complete with his/her own Final Fantasy-themed special move: Black Mage can cast Meteor, Moogle can perform a Moogle Dance, White Mage can cast Holy, and Cactuar can summon 1000 Needles.

Interested gamers would be well advised to check out the Mario Hoops Official Site for an exclusive video of the game in action as well as bios for all the characters announced thus far. The site will surely update with new character bios and other info as the game's September release date approaches.

And also, I started dreaming today in European History, and I came up with the next craze. Introducing...

MARIO BASKETBALL!

That's right. 3-on-3 games, featuring:

Bowser

Wario

Koopa Troopa
Goomba

Master different button combinations for different kinds of special character shots, dunks, and blocks! There's no goaltending, so watch as Bowser shoots the ball off his tail, and Yoshi block it with his tongue! And just wait! Hit a defined shot at the beginning of the game, and you get a MUSHROOM! You grow to enormous size and dominate the game for 30 seconds! Try 8 different arenas, and 5 special functions in each!

This would make a great game, right?
A year and a half ago, I came up with this idea, and Nintendo stole it from me.

This game is awesome, and I deserve billions of dollars for it.

But Kirobaito, in your game, did you do special touch screen combinations? I don't think so! You did BUTTON combinations! And in this one, you can decide HOW to dribble in-game! :D So like, woot. Plus, we don't have goombas in this.

I would play as Peach and the White Mage. There're both very pretty. Peach is my favorite character in Mario party games and I like the White Mage attacks.:) :kaocheer:
