I totally agree with you there. I still get blown away whenever I watch cutscenes from this game. My favourite...oh, so hard to choose, but probably the one with Atomos attacking.

I don't know. I think they all look awesome. They certainly hold their own against games of today's standard.

Attack of the White Dragons blew me away. And when Kuja destroys Terra, and Atomos too. Hell, all the delicious mass destruction in this game brings a happy tear to my eye.

Zidane running through the Iifa tree near the end looked pretty badass (Why he hadn't done much of that stuff earlier is beyond be) and the destruction of Terra looked cool too.

I love how under the light and happy exterior of the game is a dark, cynical plot with death, war, and destruction everywhere.

Yeh ff9 is my 2nd favourite for cinematics. (10 being the best, then 8)

I particularly like Bahamut vs Kuja and atomos owning lindblum. Especially when zidance comes in on wire and saves dagger.

The best ones were Kuja destroying Terra and the assault of the White Dragons. The Bahamut VS Alexander FMVs were pretty good too.

FFIX's FMV sequences were very well done, IMHO. They looked awesome, and what I liked about them was that there was a cinematic orchestral score composed for every FMV. Hard to say which one was my favorite, maybe the destruction of Alexandria when Zidane does his stunt and saves Dagger, though I also thought the ending FMV was well done, especially with the the credits showing different parts of the game. :love:

White Dragons was an amazing cut scene, I just love the music that goes with it. Such a wonderful opening to Memoria. Otherwise, I've always quite liked that first cutscene with Kuja (his departure from Burmecia) for some reason. Probably because I happen to like both Kuja and Burmecia a great deal.

Damn right there AdVenT. The only bit that annoys me about this game is the almost last cutscene with Zidane running around the Iifa Tree. I hate how he isn't made into it. He's still all pixelly and it kinda ruins what would've probably been the best scene.

Still love it though.

Lol my disk was scratched a little and that scene didnt come out right. (Dagger haircut) so basically it had her holding knife to hair, and then I was back to regular gameplay.

She just cuts her hair and if I remember correctly, Zidane runs up to her (?).

It's just meant to symbolize her not being a naive little princess anymore, and becoming a true queen.

I love all the cutscenes in this game, they're so preeetty ^_^ But especially the ones with the black waltz and vivi, and then atomos...and naturally the fight between Bahamut and Alexander, that's just plain awesomeness.

^^ I've seen Squall and Seifer making a permanent change to their appearances in the opening for FFVIII. It's not really a permanent change anyways...a haircut pfft.

Best scene in FFIX was, the attack of the white dragons.

Oh man, this was the first Final Fantasy Game I ever got to play, so it blew me away. xD My fave still has the be the Alexander/Bahamut battle, man that was amazing.

Yeah, i dont think anything can beat X's cutscenes, they were gorgeous, and just plain awesome. But IX's cutscenes are still great, i just love them ^_^

And that early one with garnet escaping and steiner crashin into the tower, i liked that until steiner crashed. I thought that part was kinda lame cuz it was like square was trying to do slapstick.

For me, I think that the scene where the tornado around Clerya goes down kicked some serious butt. I also think the Bahamut vs. Alexander was great (no brainer). Even the ending scene rocked. They were all pretty great, though i agree X were better, but hey, X was on ps2.

Oooh, loved that scene, Odin looks so awesome in IX. And the ending one is great too, pretty touching.

And of course...the ones with Kuuuja....especially where he destroys his home planet.
