National 'Kidnap Penguins' Day

Have you ever taken part in one of these 'National' days? Perhaps something slightly more obscure, or even as an in-joke?

This year I took part in Towel Day (25th May) to commemorate Douglas Adams and while I got lots of questiosn about why I was carrying around a towel with me, it was actually rather fun and intend to make this a tradition.

Some may consider it cheating, but it's advisable for beginners to kidnap their chocolate compatriots first. More delicious too.

I only take part in national smackass day (Friday) and now I can only spank myself... my character on Soul Calibur 3 spanks herself when she wins. It's quite funny.

i would like to take part in a national "wear your clothes backwards day" could prove interesting with those tight jeans, but then i'd have to turn my cap around to face the normal way (yeah, i'm that oldschool)
