Electric Guitar: James Burton
(Sadly, not respected for what he's done... member of Rock and Roll HoF ... played with Elvis, Roy Orbison, John Denver, Merle Haggard, Emmylou Harris)

(has played on more records than anyone... ever)

Percussion: Chano Pozo

(I like their style)

Conductor: Lee Holdridge
(in terms of ability to arrange string accompaniments, is second to none)

Vocals: The New Christy Minstrels

Sets:

1) Pickin' the Sun Down
2) Oh Susanna
3) Dixie
4) Streets of Laredo
5) That Lonesome Road
6) Barbara Allen

16) Last Night I Had the Strangest Dream

I don't think I can come up with a dream band that is filled with my favorite musicians in general, because it just wouldn't work.

I have to create a "dream band" that takes musicians whose styles would not conflict with each others, ones that would be able to work together to create a perfect sound.

Death/Doom band:

Vocals: Thomas Akim Grønbæk Jensen (Saturnus)
Reason: While he may not have the most technically impressive voice in the world of metal, his growls are emotional and his clean vocals are very heart felt.

Vocals: Aaron Stainthorpe (My Dying Bride)
Reason: When it comes to Death/Doom there is one man that everyone thinks of as the definitive vocalist, and that is Aaron Stainthorpe. He easily has one of the most distict voices the genre holds.

Guitars: Eric Wayne Burnley (ex-November's Doom)
Reason: He played guitar on my favorite November's Doom album "Of Sculptured Ivy and Stone Flowers" and has a very beautiful and calm style of playing, while still being capable of playing great riffs.

Guitars: Dwayne Boardman (Morgion)
Reason: As with Eric Burnley, he is capable of playing beautiful slow pieces, and then capable of picking up the tempo and playing crushing riffs. His work on Cloaked By Ages, Crowned In Earth in particular is amazing.

Bass: Damien Cristiani (ex-Novembre)
Listening to Novembrine Waltz makes me realize just how awesome this man can play the bass guitar. It is very emotional, very powerful, and holds up the music quite well.

Keyboards: Aleksi Munter (Swallow The Sun)
Reason: His keyboard work makes a very eerie and cold atmosphere. It however not sterile sounding at all.

The band over all would create an amazing and unparalleled atmosphere combining the amazing talents from some of the best death/doom bands around.

He only hates Lars, on the some kind of Monster DVD it was stated that James's style of Rhythm guitar was extraordinary when a highly skilled guitarist such as Dave was playing with him. I'd rather him do one of the other but there aren't many vocalists in the genre such as these guys that are actually well-talented, probably alot of underground bands would have better guys. If it were 2 bassists you'd need them to have an extremely similar style and pace of playing. Dave Lombardo can go up to amazing speeds on the drums or even get jazzy or melodic.

I'll have to have a listen and see what I think, so it's Hetfield on Rhythm and Heathen on vocals for now until I can think of some others,

I think that if I'd pick a dream band it'd be the entire band... as a band they should be together coz their music genre would mix and it woulnd't be the same thing!
