Well, on the brightside she can prolly still breast feed the baby while he is cralling on the floor.....

Anyways: How old is too old? I mean, the kid will be changing his parents diapers when he is 20...

Discuss! (ting)

The kid is born, did you actually read the thing? Also it says she already has 3 children. :rolleyes2

Did they have to wipe the baby clean of cobwebs?

I don't have anything really against older people having kids, but I just really don't want it myself.

"Mum! Mum! Play football with me"
"Okay; let me get my stick"

Poor kid xD

There are somethings in the world that are right, and some that are wrong. This is the latter. shouldn't she have hit the menopause by now!? crikey.

I think the kid is going to be a little more than mentally scarred - i'd say anything over 35 is downright wrong... to me anything above 27 is downright wrong too.

I usually don't care about these type of things, and I feel that it's the person's business, so I shouldn't cast judgement, but having a child at that age isn't right to me. You shouldn't have children if you're not, or soon will not be, in the position of being able to take care of them until they are adults. :/

Being pregnant in my 20's has been miserable. I think I'd die, being pregnant in my 60's. ..

Maybe she and the girl who got pregnant at 11 can be friends. :D

I think it's sick. I don't agree with it at all. :)

Does anyone else think she looks like Penelope Wilton (Barbara from Shaun of the Dead and Harriet Jones from Doctor Who)?

 I think it's disgusting. If my parents had have been that old, I'd have ran away from home. Maybe that's why the gingerbread man ran away? I bet it is.

No biggie. People are living longer and longer these days. I happen to know several people who's parents are old enough to be grandparents. Usually with a good 10 or more years between them and their next oldest sibling.

It definitely isn't "no biggie." Sure, some people live longer, but by the time that kid is thirty, his/her parents are gonna be dead. Likely a good few years before that. It's even highly possible that that kid could be an orphan before he/she hits twenty. That's definitely a "biggie." I'm sorry, but that kid's parents are sick.

At least they'll have grown siblings to take care of them.

Sorry, I still don't think it's a biggie. But then my grandmother had her last child well after 50 and he turned out just fine.

That girl was Romanian, and Romanians are not human; they are like super humans. Besides, this girl was british, which makes it an even bigger shocker! I dun know why... maybe I thought they were too proper to have sex.. I dunno :)

 Wow, nice one there.. that kinda cracked me up..hehehe!!

Anyways, back at the article you showed us back there, that... was kinda weird, but not in a sense that its disgusting. I actually have nothing against older women having children 40+, but, wont they have trouble of managing the baby and when it grows up? Will they even live long to see it as an adult? Wow... it boggles the mind.

She doesn't look liek she has 62! :s
Although I feel like I wouldn't have enough time to watch my kid grow coz I'd be too old and I'd probably die! Nah... I wanna be 50 and have grandsons, not 50 and have babies! :p

People who are saying that the parents are sick, demented, stupid for having a child at 62 can sniff my arse ^_^

It's fine. It's her business. Honestly, she looks like she takes pretty good care of herself. She looks a lot younger than some 30-some year olds I've seen. If I had to guess from her looks, I'd say she was right around 40. xD So, who says they'll be dead in 20 years? There's perfectly coherent people in their 90s these days. More than a few people live to be over a hundred.

I think it's perfectly fine if they want to have a child to raise and love, despite what age they are. Who says that older people can't be parents? If they can adopt children, then they shouldn't be condemned for having children either. If the only objection is "the parents might die before the child is middle aged" then I would be more worried about parents with AIDS or cancer.
