I just made this a few minutes ago. :) I never got around to making myself a wallpaper for this laptop, which I needed to do, since I have a special widescreen laptop, so my resolution is 1280 x 800, and I don't think that size is all that common in wallpapers. Anyways, here~

1280x800 is becoming more commonly aimed at for stuff. Maybe not wallpaper, but game resolutions are supporting it, which is kind of a pain, because my monitor is weird and uses 1280x854, which has like no native support anywhere xD

Current wallpaper is a picture of Allie and I standing together at my cousin's wedding reception. I really like it.

Yep, look at mine for example. You can pipe-read any plaintext you want. I wrote a Ruby parser for Yahoo weather for example. And I read in the calendar via the cal command, and I fetch my external IP address via a script on my server, etc.

Kicker.

If you really like OSX-style docks, there's engage (part of Englightenment). XGL/Compiz has some dock named "kiba" now which I've never tried. There's also kxdocker. Plenty of superkaramba versions too.

Yamaneko
08-12-2006, 07:47 PM
Kiba looks good, but is still very buggy. There's also a gnome-dock in the works using the Cairo backend.
