So what are your favourite guitar solos, or songs that can count as a guitar solo? Mine has to be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vl7N150HuQY Michael Angelo Batio's Prog, it's alot more melodic then no boundries/speed kills/speed lives

Others include the solos from W.A.S.P.'s The Headless Children album or Metallica's Damage Inc. Disposable Heroes, Whiplash, Ride The Lightning and Master of Puppets. There's so many to name, so many styles, so many songs and tastes different people have, so come in and name your favourite guitar solo or link to it on youtube or betteryet the song itself which maybes found streamable at www.bolt.com for anyone desperate to show but can't explain well. So then... Let the naming begin. It can be any type of solo, melodic, ultra fast, crazy, or just out of control or shred.

DragonForce - Through the Fire and Flames

Is currently the sexiest guitar solo I listen to. It is better than you.

I have two songs which contain my favorite solos:

The first of which is Pain of Salvation - King Of Loss (http://media.putfile.com/King-Of-Loss) and the other song is Agalloch - In The Shadows Of Our Pale Companion (http://crushedaria.dajoob.com/02%20In%20The%20Shadow%20Of%20Our%20Pale%20Compani.mp3)

Any of Stevie Ray Vaughan's or Eric Clapton's solos do it for me.

That's the only reason I actually like that song.

That song is also better than you, and DragonForce are better than Megadeath, who quite frankly suck. :monster:

I think you-know-who is going to hate you for that.
Megadeth aren't all that bad when it comes to solos and rifs but their songs suck. Slayer are good with solos too and Antheax are good with songs yet bad with solos. I like solos to be a mix of melodic, fast and catchy, not just pure shredding like you hear from some people. That's why i like DragonForce, they got alot of good style in their solos, but Michael Angelo Batio can kick assage in that department too, so can many other guitarists. Malmsteen is a pretty good soloist but not all that great. Chris Impellitteri is pretty good in his band.

I cant narrow it down to one solo anymore, so Anything by Megadeth, W.A.S.P., Micheal Angelo and Slayer's solos are my favorite.

However these two are an example of my favorites.

Chris Holmes. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wln2_rw-bWk&search=Chris%20Holmes)

Hangar 18 (note, full song but the solo's are excellent) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhdZaFNXFEQ&search=Hangar%2018%20solos)

Oh also note that Hangar 18 is dropped down a whole step...I have no clue why.

I'm a simple kindda guy when it comes to guitar solo's. Slash had some great solo's in Novenber Rain, Sweet Child O Mine and Ain't It Fun.

I like the insane guitarists like Buckethead at times, his style of playing is pretty insane and I find his retelling of his life quite funny, raised by chickens.

My vote automatically goes to Peter Frampton for anything on 'Frampton Comes Alive', but I guess especially for 'Do you feel like I do'? which was my favourite all through my teenage years!

Also big thumbs up for Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton.
