Name him/her/them. It's hard to narrow down to just 1. I got 3 to list.

James Hetfield, Ronnie James Dio, Blackie Lawless. This is so far though. So name yours, this'll be fun, if they sing for emo bands then I must say they're open for being bashed... Enjoy ^_^. I would name more but it'd make things more complicated. Name as many as you like, just don't get too carried away.... (obey the blue chocobo gif)

-Mikael Åkerfeldt: got to love how he go from death vocals to stuff like Damnation
-David Gilmour: dude has a great voice even at his age
-Cristina Scabbia: has an amazing voice and the fact that I'm italian doesn't hurt lol
-David Draiman: just saw these guys in concert and the things this guy does with his voice is pure awesome-ness :)
-Robert Plant: any list should include this singer, who is one of the best of all time
I'm sure there are alot more but I really can't think of anymore at the moment.

Female Vocals: Mariah Carey when she doesn't hurt my ears with her piercing high notes and Whitney Houston when she wasn't using drugs.

Male Vocals: Freddie Mercury and Elvis when he was still alive. Also, many others that aren't really famous.

David Gilmour - Pink Floyd
He's always had a great voice and I think it has perhaps gotten even better with age. Eg: 'What Do You Want From Me'. Coupled with his guitaring, he is one the most talented musicians ever.

Roger Waters - Pink Floyd
I love the way Waters sings.....I can't explain it, it's just awsome and contrasts so well with Gilmour, especially in songs such as 'Comfortably Numb' and 'Mother'.

Brandon Boyd - Incubus
This guy is amazing where vocals are concerned. He can doing almost everything. High pitch, low pitch, screaming, whatever. S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and 'A Crow Left of the Murder' albums show off his singing capabilities the most.

Anthony Keidis - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Anthony has a voice that can also hit many different tones and pitches and is capable of going from a funky rap to a melodic type vocal. 'Around the World' and 'Venice Queen' display these qualities well.

I like others, but these guys are my favorites

;)

#2) Amy Lee. Also, very nice range, and just has a really impressive voice.

The lead singers of all my favourite bands

Its often the vocalist that gives songs the awesomeness they have, hence why a lot bands just suck, because the vocalist cant sing xD

Anyway, im gonna have to go with the leads of Metallica, NIN, The Rasmus, Muse and Coldplay.

I'm surprised there's been no mention of Thom Yorke yet. He's definitely one of my favourites. I also rather like Sufjan Stevens, Conor Oberst and Juanita Stein; not because they're necessarily the most talented but because of the personality they each put into their vocals.

Oh, let's see. I like David Bowie a lot, though mostly his earlier stuff, and I'm also fond of Tori Amos and Loreena McKennitt. But I mainly listen to Japanese music, so I guess I'd have to say that my favourite vocalist is Kyo of Dir en grey.

Shouldn't the title be who is yourt favorite vocalist/ singer, not what as you're referring to a person?

Well besides that awful grammatical error, I'll tell you mine, my two favorite singers are Aaliyah and Selena.
