So I was just talking to PG, and he said that I'm the third or fourth non-co-worker that he knows that works for IBM (we both work at IBM, by the way). Jokingly I told him that we're everywhere. But then I got to wondering, how many people out there know at least one IBMer?

So, my question to you, do you know anyone that works for IBM?

I don't affiliate with riff-raff :monocle:

Do they still enforce that huge dress code? Blue socks, yay high, blue suitcoat shirt and tie? (I seen some guys singing it on a documentry. I could only cry.)

No, not in about 15-20 years. The dress code now depends upon where you live and if you have face-to-face time with the customer. For example, on the east coast it's still a suit and tie (regular suit and tie, no blue required) every day to work, while at the Boulder, CO plant (where I worked for six years), if developers weren't meeting clients a lot of times they would wear untucked t-shirts and jeans with sneakers. So it really varies.
