Just heard of this band from them doing the intro song to Bullet for My Valentine's cd "The Poison". Started listening to some of their stuff and wow. I'm really not even into all instrumental type songs but their stuff is amazing, at least what I've heard so far. Their versions of Nothing Else Matters and Fade to Black are pure awesomeness. Just wondering if anyone else has heard of them. I would highly recommend them to anyone that likes instrumental songs or just someone looking to listen to something a little different.

Absolutely amazing band. Their covers of Metallica's One, fade to black and until it sleeps are my favourites. They've did MOP, Sanitarium, For Whom The Bell tolls and many more metallica covers. http://www.bolt.com/Shoden89/audio/1792117 There's one I uploaded on bolt. I could get more if I could bother.

Yeah, Harmageddon's a really good one :). Haven't listened to Hall of the Mountain King yet, but as soon as I get it I'll be sure to listen to it. I love it when I find new bands (at least new to me) that I really like. Its really cool to get into new bands and find stuff you never thought you would ever listen to before. O and their metallica renditions are simply amazing. I even had my mom in here listening to Fade To Black and Nothing Else Matters. So do they really play with just four cello's in all their songs or do they use other instruments? I really haven't listened to this type of music before and can't really tell.

They have drums in their album "Cult" and beyond I think, I don't know much about them.

Yeah, they use drums sometimes, but is rare, also, they tend to invite some singers for some songs (Seeman, Bittersweet)

I beleive I have one of their songs, in which Lauri from The Rasmus is singing it..
Rather excellent song too, although apart from that one song i got sent, this is the first time besides then that Ive heard of the band.

My god, until this fateful thread, I had never heard of this wonderful assortment! My god, this is a wonderful, unique, intriguing sound that I just simply cannot get enough of at the moment. And really, stuff this impressionable will most likely stay with me for a very, very long time to come.
Getting all their stuff right now.

Get first the "Amplified / A Decade of Reinventing the Cello". You'll understand why later on :)

Yes, I love Apocalyptica's duets with Lauri and Ville on Bittersweet, and on Lifeburns in particular. I love Life Burns <3
I dont really like Apocalytica on their own though, I havnt heard any song by them which has changed my mind.
Reine darling, Lauri duets with Apocalyptica on Lifeburns, and Lauri and Ville duet on Bittersweet

my favourite has to be "Until It Sleeps" I got their album "plays metallica by four cellos"
Enter Sandman, MOP, The Unforgiven, Sanitarium, roam, harvester of sorrow, creeping death and sad but true feature on that album but on Inquisition Symphiny you got For Whom The Bell Tolls, Nothing Else Matters, Fade To Black, Until it Sleeps and One. That's about as much as I know. I'd like to hear more singing, it'd be pretty cool seeing if Lauri can handle the aggressive nature of Master of Puppets.

WHOA, my BF once sent me a song and it was awesome. I didn't know anyone knew about them. I used to play the cello then, so it really struck a chord with me. :D
