I think I came back recently because of the wedding business.

ANYWHO that's not the point of the thread. The point is that I'm sitting here, about to turn frigging TWENTY SEVEN years old, and it's freaking nuts.

Heh, I just hit 2-8 last month, and it didn't bother me too much. I still feel like I'm in my mid-20s and enjoy life so I can't complain. I think "old age" is a mind set. As one of my wife's friends (who is 65) once put it, "Regardless of their number age, if they like to have a good time and are fun to be around, I consider them the same age as me. If they're immature, they're younger than me and if they are a boring stick in the mud then they are older than me."

As a kid, and even as a teenager, time was was like a trail of sap at just above freezing inching down a tree...

the thing about getting older, is you've lived longer, so the same period of time seems a lot shorter. When you've only lived 10 years, that next year is pretty long cause it equals 1/10 of your life so far. But when you get up to say 25, that next year is only 1/25 of your life so it seems shorter.

Personally, I just turned 20 a week ago, and I'm glad to be out of the teens.

When you're on a videogame message board, it's hard not to feel old. When I play online games I feel older than most people, but that's due to either a high pitched voice or the fact that 2/3 of the people I get matched against are complete assholes. And I'm only 18, so :p. Just have fun and enjoy what you do, and above all never grow up completely.

Most of my family is either 30+ or 15- there are only like 5 around my age, one cousin a year older, another 2 years older and 3 or so around 23-27, and 27 isnt that old, though I agree even at 19 playinhg online games like RO makes you feel like your ancient, since the age of players goes down fast, all of the people ive talked to on qRO (other then StarChild) are between 12 and 16.

I try to be lighthearted about it. I joke with RSL about sending him BenGay for his bday, and sitting in rocking chairs and chasing kids off our lawn. And of course hubbie is turning 30 this month, so I tease him constantly.
I don't feel bad about aging anymore though, I like being an adult, and while I can't have the experiences of an 18-21 year old, I get to have different new ones....:)

I'm turning 16 the 9th of September, yet I have the mentality of a 21 year old, which causes me to feel and act older than my 16+ year old friends at times ^^; It's both a blessing and a curse...more of a blessing in my eyes, though :)

But yeah, don't feel old! There's a whole lot of things you can do still before you DO turn old (which, to me, is when you hit 80) and still feel like a kid :)

It feels as if time seems to snowball, ever increasing its speed as you age. I never really thought of being heading to the grave so early, but it sometime feels as if I am... and I am only 18...

Well, until you're around 40, you aren't stuck with one foot in the grave. Once you hit 40, well, then you and I may actually have some warrent to the complaints and worries of time, for then, at that moment, it is basically established, save for rare cases, that you have one foot set firmly in your grave.

I'm 23 and really don't give a crap about how old i am. If i enjoy something (video games for example) and it makes me happy then i'm not worried. The people that make games are old and they love it still.

I will probably be playing games when i'm 50 ok maybe 35 but when i have kids i'm sure i will be playing with them.
