Miriel.

I'm making a bet with you that me and Et can level THF and SMN (currently level 13 and 14) to 30 before you and Del will level SMN and WAR to 30. >:D

AND! To get to the point of this thread... What was the quickest leveling spree you ever had/where did you go/how was the EXP/and strategy? :]

When I started my current character I took Warrior to 18, got my subjob, took Thief to 30, unlocked Samurai, and took Samurai to 14 all in about a week. Strategy? That's all I did. I took a couple months break after that, but upon coming back I took Samurai from 14 to 50 in about another week.

Ugh, I don't know how people do it! I've played for like 2 years (not counting the break I took to play WoW!) and the highest level I have to date is 55. =P

I wish I had the motivation. >_<

How????? I get on to play about 30 hours a week, been playing for about 5 weeks now.
i'm level 16 RDM, My target is, get subjob, get chocbo license and get airship pass, so I need level 20. Any advice on the quickest way would be helpfull.

I spend most of my time in the dunes when i'm on, apart from that I don't know any quicker way.

Well, I'm also very well versed in the game, as I played when it first came out and got multiple jobs to 40 and 50 plus. That really helps out.

Well, you know, me and Tony have like lives, and obligations and stuff OK!

We only get to play 2 or 3 hours a day and... you know what, I DON'T HAVE TO JUSTIFY ANYTHING TO YOU!

Hm. I'm a level 1 MNK... >_>

I dunno though, I might change my job.

It's cool to equip Lotus Katana GKT on your level 1 MNK and use Hundred Fists.

Well I once leveled ninja from 20-40 in a few days (had nothing better to do). And my friend and I leveled from 44-60 fairly fast too, I think a couple of weeks, minus or plus. That was really fun.

I've had two insane pts that are memorable.
1. Had a roaming pt starting at 15rng that went to 33...one pt, non-stop. pt started off as RNG RNG RNG RNG RNG SMN. there was no pulling, we just ran around valkurm/qufim/yhutunga slaughtering things. Along the way people came and went, but 3 of us were there the whole time. We wouldn't even stop for replacements. Some of the newbier people that joined us were overwhelmed and quit ffxi to play WoW or one of those other noob games where they won't have to deal with the stark-raving lunatics. It was rather a unique experience. Basic strategy was for Rngs to stand around the mob in kind of a circle and bounce the hate back and forth...the mobs died so fast we barely took damage. It was especially effective at 24 when we could utsu

2nd large amount of xp i got was a pt from lvl 61 to 64 or 65, I don't remember the exact levels involved, but I do know that I got over 60k xp in one non-stop pt, which at the time was nuts for me.

Now that I've hit 75 and gotten merits and am partying w/ ppl with merits and godly gear, I've surpassed both of those pts as far as total xp just b/c I can get that much xp in a relatively short time. Especially in the new areas. Those pts were marathons that started in the evening and didn't stop until sunrise, so I'll always remember them even though my xp/hour continues to grow.

I'm not very quick. My best is like 3 levels in one night. If I even get one level in a night I consider it good.

YOU'RE ON!

I don't have any crazy stories. Probably the fastest I've ever covered a level range was from 40-51 on my BRD over the course of 3 days.

I've leveled many jobs from 1-10 in a matter of hours.

I've managed to get 8 merits (80k XP) in a PT that was just short of 5 hours long.

I once leveled 5 jobs from 10-20 in a week.

Nothing as impressive as some of the other sprees here >.>

Oh, it's possible to juggle university, FFXI, girlfriend and 8-10 hours sleep. ;)

8 levels is the most non-stop for me that was levels 1 through 8 which doesn't take much time really. Any higher than 12 and the most I can squeeze in is two levels a day, two and a half if I'm lucky enough.

I don't usually like to level non-stop through more than two levels, I quite often warp back to a town to craft or help people in the Linkshell out or even spend 5 hours getting Bard, a job that I will most likely never use. :grumble:

Like the begining of the game says: Your not supposed to forget about family, school, work and friends. thats the quickest way to get anywhere n_n

anyway the quickest lvl up for me was War from 1-15 in two days. Trained in East Ron lvl 1-8 Ghelshba 8-11 then Valkurm 8-15
(dose midnight count as being two days here? >.<)

If i don't count the solo levels early in the game, where you can easily do 10 in a few hours, I'd say my quickest leveling spree was War 19-24 in two days, with about 2-3 hours of exping per day. I'm slow :(

The quickest lvl spree for me would have to be bst from lvl 7-14 and before that on my smn lvl 14-20 (so i could lvl 20 avatar prime fights)
in one night for each ...
I can't hang for more than that ... my butt gets numb from sitting so long (esp since we usually don't stop to heal ... just kill kill kill ... :shoot:)
I love this game sooo much though and i think its worth it getting between 4-6 hours of sleep ... since i work full time and etc :(
