Round 1-Special Theme Showdown

Choose your favorite.

I define "special battle theme" as a song thats not a normal battle theme, or a boss theme, or a final boss theme. If a final boss had multiple battles, and each battle had a seperate theme (ie: Ultimecia and Maybe I'm a Lion, and The Extreme), I discounted those. Which is why tracks like Birth of a God - FF7, and the theme for fighting Ex-Death were discounted.

I liked Seymours battle theme from FFX....it was exciting with its fast paced runs and instrumentation. I dunno...was catchy...i wanna try to play it.... :goes off in search of her long lost keyboard...:

I think Hunters chance is the one that plays in the festival of the hunt, but what about the others.

From that list, it would have to be either Seymour Battle or Clash on the Big Bridge :p I like the FF12 version of Clash on the Big Bridge too though, but you have no FF12 options :p

I think Hunters chance is the one that plays in the festival of the hunt, but what about the others.

Feel My Blade plays when Zidane, Marcus and others fight King Leo (Baku) during the play "I want to be your canary", Hunter's Chance plays during the Festival of the Hunt, and the Sword of Doubt plays when you're fighting Beatrix.

I think most of those special boss songs are excellent. It's a very tough choice between the Dreadful Fight, Battle with Gilgamesh and Weapon Raid, but I'll choose the Dreadful Fight because I've been playing FFIV recently, so at the moment, I remember that song the best out of the three.

The Dreadful Fight tops that list, but I would have voted for either You're Not Alone or The Dark Messager if you had listed them.

I could have added DoC and FF12, but almost no-one has heard those tracks.

I really like Fight Tune "A girl named Shelke". But very few have heard it.

This poll seems to be for special boss themes (i.e. excluding normal bosses and final bosses). Otherworld (well, an arrangement of it that wasn't released in the soundtrack) was played during FFX's final battle, and both Dark Messenger and One-Winged Angel were final battle themes. Beatrix's battle theme is there in the poll, it's called the Sword of Doubt.

You know, I thought this would be an easy decision, but after going back and listening to all the ones I couldn't remember off the top of my head, I'm not sure how I'm going to decide. I think I've got it down to The Fierce Battle, Weapon Raid, and Hunter's Chance. I think I'll go with Hunter's Chance just because I like how upbeat it is.

I'm pretty sure Man With a Machine Gun falls under normal battle theme, since it's the normal battle music when using Laguna and friends.
