Damn...

I feel so friggin' utterly miserable. Today I had a date with a girl that I have liked for a long time. I have liked her for a looooooooooong time and I was looking forward to taking her out.

When I met her, she said something else came up and she cancelled on me, right there and then. On the spot. It was so depressing.

Right now I feel sad and upset. I haven't felt this bad for a long time.

I just wanna cry :crying:

Something came up could mean a lot of things. Simply reschedule.

Just reschedule for a better time. I just wonder why she didn't tell you this before you actually met up with her.

If she does it next time, though, just forget about her. Flakes make terrible friends/relationships.

Yeeeeah,

I'm just a little bummed out right now.

It's awful... I've been looking forward to this for a whole week and now, at the last minute, I get bummed out. I am not really so keen on asking her out again at the moment because I dont want to look forward to the next time and for the same crap to happen all over again.

She showed up. She showed up and told you something else had come up. She obviously didn't want you to stand there all alone, not knowing.
She took the time and told you something else had come up. This is good. :)

And she did say yes to the date in the first place. If she really didn't like you she would've said no to begin with.

Yeah but she could of just said it over the phone and not wasted your time

Personally I'd have prefered that she told me by showing up than by calling me.

Well, at least she told you in person. I do find that rather encouraging. Why? Well, if she was able to tell you in person that she was busy and had something to do, (who knows what it may be, maybe ask her about it on the date when you have the chance) I feel she may be willing to go out with you later on. Try rescheduling the date as others suggested.

If she hadn't appeared, then that's a different story. Be glad that you didn't get stood up like that.

you weren't stood up, the fact that she showed up means you weren't stood up. She told you something came up in person, therefore she cares to some extent, ask her out again seriously stop feeling sorry and just do it

As others have mentioned. You didn't get stood up. Not really. And the fact that she showed up in person means she intended to carry on with the date if it hadn't been for whatever it was that came up.

Unless. Unless you two have never met before, and she saw you and then she decided to flake on the date. In which case... that's not so good.

I didn't get rejected, she said yes to the date! It's just that she had to cancel because her life was a little complicated and she needed to gather her thoughts.

whatever makes you sleep at night. Maybe I'll dress in drag and date you to boost your confidence. Do you think I'd make a pretty girl?

Don't worry, dude. I'd say what everyone else is saying, but everyone else already said it. So, I think you should do something like play a Video Game. It's great for stress, because it sets your mind on something totally different, and gives you goals to complete. It might take some of your sadness away. :choc2:

Are you serious? This happens with me. What you do is never talk to her again. A flake is a terrible excuse for a human being. No priorities or that you are the lowest member of said priority list.
