In no particular order:

5. Steven Spielberg
4. Christopher Nolan
3. Quentin Tarantino
2. Peter Jackson
1. Bryan Singer

Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep)

Guy Ritchie (Snatch)

Wes Anderson (Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou)

Joel & Ethan Coen (Fargo; The Big Lebowski; O Brother, Where Art Thou?)
Yes, I am giving Gondry full credit for a movie that isn't even out yet, the most of which I have seen has been a trailer. But it's a heck of a trailer, man.

* Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation)
* Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep)
* Guy Ritchie (Snatch)
* Wes Anderson (Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou)
* Joel & Ethan Coen (Fargo; The Big Lebowski; O Brother, Where Art Thou?)

Excellent list :monster:

The Coen brothers and Michael Gondry are indeed very talented directors. Kelly's "Southland Tales" and Aronofksy's "The Fountain" already look incredible, and aren't even out yet. "The Science of Sleep" is looking great as well.
